I'll hunt that stupid "Small Evap Leak" that is tripping my check engine light.  Won't pass my annual safety inspection with the light triggered

Yeah, but it is mostly cosmetic integrity they are looking for.  If it doesn't "look" rotted out they are not going to mess with it.

So it basically means fill the void in panel with spray foam, sculpt and cover with kitty hair and bondo, smooth and paint.
