what's a good semi-budget conscious light(ish) beer that almost anyone would like?

yeahthing is im getting two big kegs.  one will be a heavier tastier beer.  and the other is for weenies. 

i'm spendy on the tastay beer and skimpy on the weenie.  that didn't sound right.

so i think sam adams would be more flavor than i want... too similar to the heavier beer.  thinking a golden lager or pilsner would be most appropriate given the competition
