It is now.

And that's an awesome video.

i've got a nice open backyard that slopes down to big trees and a creek. Our deck is probably a story and a half above where the creek is and about 30-40 yards away. I would love to slingshot some squirrels from the deck into the trees. They eat my bird seed and terrorize the dogs.

I don't know how to get them to leave your dogs alone, but I know how to make them stop eating your birdseed.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

Mel,

Nate is going to send you a photo

A friend of mine has been catching squirrels in have-a-heart traps, painting their tails safety orange and releasing them across town.

Tell me oh wise one....

It is kinda funny to see them scatter when the hawks that live in the backyard start screamin.

Hot pepper. Flakes, powder, seeds, whatever you want. Just mix it into the bird feed.

Squirrels can't stand in and it has an analgesic effect on birds.*

*Warning: discontinue use if birds start to act like teenage stoners.

Also, I love the blaze-orange tail idea. Like little bicyclist flags. Wheeeee!

I'm gonna go try that O. Thanks!  [thumbsup]

No prob.

My mom's "solution" for the squirrels that kept raiding the feeder was to throw a bunch of expired birth control pills in with the bird seed.

Population sure has dropped off in the last few years...
