I've really never been good in front of a bunch of people.

Unless I'm serving as a bad example ;D

This is what my students say:

Mary, my Red Cross instructor, was awesome.

She knew her stuff inside and out, was outgoing, patient and made the class a lot of fun. I would love to take another class from her.

-Jim Lynch, Bellevue resident and First Aid & CPR class taker

He also said he would pay more to take the class from me.  I pulled this from our web site!  After days like today, I feel like a bad teacher.

I hated that class.

What was worse though was teaching the first class.

After that it got easier and easier.
Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Monsterlover

I'm sorry, I don't get why.

Sounds like you knocked their socks off!

I do a great job teaching my classes, but now I am training to teach the First Responder/Emergency Response class.  It is all information I know from EMT school, but that was a long time ago.  Teaching new curriculum in from of the instructor trainers while being graded makes me nervous and sick.  I did a good job, but it is 3 hours later and I still want to hurl.

I hear ya.

There was a rumor I was going to be sent to take the First reponder team the student class but it fell through the way side.

My Red Cross chapter wants me to take the IT class, teach the class next month (12 sessions) and then go through the process to become an instructor trainer ASAP.  Our trainer came from South Dakota for the 3 day class.

Are you RC or AHA?  What do you teach?  I teach CPR for the lay responder, C PRO, Pet CPR, and WOFA.

First Aid, CPR with or without AED (adults, children and Peds) and certified to teach USE of O2

It makes no diff'rence where I turn
I can't get over you and the flame still burns
It makes no diff'rence,   night or day
The shadow never seems to fade away

And the sun don't shine anymore
And the rains fall down on my door

Now there's no love
As true as the love
That dies untold
But the clouds never hung so low before

It makes no diff'rence how far I go
Like a scar the hurt will always show
It makes no diff'rence who I meet
They're just a face in the crowd
On a dead-end street
And the sun don't shine anymore
And the rains fall down on my door

These old love letters
Well, I just can't keep
'Cause like the gambler says
Read 'em and weep
And the dawn don't rescue me no more

Without your love   I'm nothing at all
Like an empty hall  it's a lonely fall
Since you've gone   it's a losing battle
Stampeding cattle
They rattle the walls

And the sun don't shine anymore
And the rains fall down on my door

Well, I love you so much
It's all I can do
Just to keep myself from telling you
That I never felt so alone before
