The 690 (from what I've been reading) is a fantastic motor.
And the 690 Duke is weird and cool.

How much is a 695 these days? The 690 SMCs were running around $9K out the door. Which is sort of a lot for a supermoto.

I only paid ~$800/year with 250 deductible from Progressive for my 695.

Well, you'd make up the difference between the 696 and the Duke in insurance.

I only paid ~$800/year with 250 deductible from Progressive for my 695.

Progressive for both,  I have my scooter with them, so its a true quote, I can change my policy online instantly to see the difference

The riding position on the duke is more contfortable....

but I dont know about riding long distance on a big thumper.......


also I would have to add 4k to the price tag of the 696...... the cost of making it not look like shit.

Well, the new 690 LC4 motor is supposed to be a lot less of a paint shaker compared to my 625.
But still, I think the 696 would be better at longer distances.
