DP you know the story behind me getting this bike, it`s the first bike I have bought without road testing first.

I went completely on what I read on the forum from members with experience, I don`t need this for seriuos riding, for that I have the track bike, only some fun on sundays it`s perfect ;D

I do...

but my 900 wasn't even very good as a Sunday street bike.

It needed all the mods.

I've heard the 696 is a great rider out of the box too.

Have fun with it.

I have sold my track 04 R1 for 70 k South african and got a 08 R1 with all the right bits for 90K South African, Full YEC competition motor

Will probably go fetch next week, the bike won the championship the youngster racing mine came second in, The differance money wise madeup with race sponsorship [thumbsup]

Hiya!  I have to work today and then I have 2 days off in a row!  The MC show is here this weekend and I have a free ticket.

Blueberry pancakes in a bit.  Going to wake up L. with the smell of them!  Sadly, no  [bacon]

I hope there's some variety at yours.

This is THE big show with every maker there and every aftermarket part maker there too.  Last year I met Davis L. Hough and Fred R.  From motorcycle consumer news.  DucSea had a party last night and the gift bags for the first 100 ducati key holders had a free ticket inside!
