all seasons aren't worthy substitutes for snow tires.
That's why the Mazda stayed home, I never got around to getting a second set of rims and snow tires for it.

I put Hancook snows on the Focus.

I think it will be unstoppable.

Which ones did you get?

I've got the iPike W409's on my Volvo.... damn good tire in snow and on ice... Just wish I would have had them studded... then I could raise a little more hell in the winter.

I solve my problems like an adult, at the strip club drinking on a work night.

The GTI has studded Hancooks on it, my wife insists on having the studded tires despite the fact that the damn car likes to eject them. I'd say at least a third of the studs are gone.

When I ordered the tires, I neglected to notice they only charged $12 a tire to stud them.... I know they don't last forever, but would have made for a fun couple hours!  [evil]

This will be the third season we have the tires, they're mounted on 16" steel wheels. They're starting to wear funny so I think that this will be the last winter for this set.

OMG I found a place to live in OR. The lady renting it out likes me and wants to do the paperwork. Yay!

Mother and I lost the cabin out in the woods with no heat. This new place will just be for me ( :-\  ) but it'll be close to Mother.

I'm thinking mine will last a little longer.

Last year I logged around 3k miles on them in the winter.  This year, working 10days on the road and 4 home... they'll get even less.

I love having a set of 15's w/snows and 17's with road tires for the summer, just hate switching them out... I just got the snows on this year 1 day before we got pounded with a good storm.

The tread looks like that, but there's about 6" of snow in the dooryard right now so I'm not going out to check.

No studs on these...I don't like them for highway use, but they are definitely studdable...the holes are there.

The tires definitely change the handling. They're "squishy".

I'll check the model tomorrow and let you know.
