No on Friday i run out to the foam place. Its about 20 min from my house.  Its going to take me a while to shape the plug, so Im not buying any cloth or resin yet.

But I really should be getting the wheels mounted to shape the tank. To do that I need more money/time to go to Frys to finish the adapter.

Plus now I have to figure out how the fuel pump (which I dont have) is going to be mounted in the tank, which is a solid piece of foam, which I dont have.  [laugh]

Also I need to figure out how Im going to run the pod/airbox routing, but I need the tank for that.


It goes on and on.

I still dont even have a work bench.   [laugh]

I heard aircraft spruce, are you building a carbon fiber tank?

If you are, I have a shit load of info stored because one of these days I will build one as well.  This guy put up a thread and I saved the link.  Loads of pictures and I emailed back and forth with him a bit.  Nice guy.

Made SV tanks.  Coated inside with POR-15 and has had tanks in service 5 years with no leaks.

Let me know if I need to dig up the link

Thanks, its in the tech board  ;D  Ive already read the barf thread.  I'm designing a new tank from scratch, so I have to make a plug first.  Im just being impatient.

BTW, did you find out what weight cloth he used?
