Probably not good considering last year diesel was damn near 5$ a gallon.

It is finally cheaper than gasoline.
The oil companies made sure there would be no savings for running a diesel vehicle...

+1 On the diesel not being as economical as you might think,

A local motoring magazine did a test with 2 cars, one  a 320 petrol BMW and the other a 320 diesel Bmw and taking all factors into the equation ( servicing, trade value, depreciation, fuel economy, etc ) the diesel vehicle only broke even with the petrol after 300 000 Kilometers of ownership [bang]
