Life, alas is very drear. Up with the glass and down with the beer!

I'd like to rant about direct-to-consumer advertising of pharmaceuticals, I think it's a bad idea.

I'm with ya, P, except they are actually targeting medical professionals via TV.  Sad but true.  Your average person can't remember the name of a drug, let alone what it does.  Dumb, really.

Hiya, Nate!

Way to go, Tini!  You rock on!

Mal: "That it was manly and impulsive?"

Inara: "Yes, precisely. Only the exact phrase I used was 'don't'."

I just got a tent today.

Camping time!
I've historically disliked camping, but I'm giving it another chance this season. We'll see how it goes.  ;D

I don't like camping either.

I'd just as soon drink at home.

Y'all look great with your pitchforks.

As a Jew, I can tell you this guy boils my blood.

And there is no doubt in my mind he is guilty as sin.

But I am glad every day that the state -- the all powerful gubmint -- still has to prove, to the satisfaction of a jury, that he is guilty.

It is not perfect, it is not chronologically satisfying, and sometimes it doesn't work the way we want (OJ holla!) but there isn't any better way to make sure the 'powers that be' aren't kidnapping people in the night (ala Pinochet) and burying them alive because they wear the wrong brand of organic cotton.

The state's burden of proof usually works for the innocent, and the guilty steal some time, and then they burn.  I can live with that.

nobody is visiting him in the night.... he came to them....with a gun.... that he used to kill a guy....on camera....in front of a lot of witnesses.

he's 88, all it's gonna take is for some nurse to stand on his air hose...... oops
Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

There was a time when my idea of camping was being someplace without room service.  Now, I'll happilly go days without showering.  Strangely I become less popular as the days pass.   :o  Who knew???

It's more fun to use though.

Hey, FP!  Pitching it in the back yard?
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Are they really?
I get patients asking me about stuff they saw on TV at least once/wk.
I do get some good laughs out of some of those commercials, though.
