couldn't get the old filter off for the life of me!
i ended up tearing through the nut at the bottom of it (k&n) and had to get my trusty pliers out to grip the thing and finally turn it

THEN i couldn't get the new one on easily
it felt like it was cross-threaded but it was the only way it would go on

finally after the 2nd time taking it off, i put it back on as best i could and filled her up
upon startup she started spewing oil

took oil filter off (not easy) and finally an old oil filter wring popped out

i don't think it belonged to the filter i originally took off, as that one still had one on it

either way
my new chrome oil filter doesn't look so pretty anymore (sorry FP)
but it's not leaking oil

now... i just hope my tire lasts through the 100mile ride tomorrow

Well, hopefully she holds together cap'n.

I'm riding tomorrow too. But smaller knobby tires...

we've decided, the only yard work we're doing this summer, is mowing the lawn  [laugh]

i'll be at the shore next weekend... and i think we only have a couple of free weekends until after the wedding  :-\
