I planted in the garden today....and covered the tomatoes and peppers so they won't get frosted...

that makes it early summer. ;)

Speaking of home we planted a garden this weekend.

One tomato plant

One yellow pepper plant

One Basil plant

I put in 18 tomatos 12 peppers couple rows of beets some more lettuce...and made frost provisions for the plants...still have to plant squash cukes pumpkins and corn...and beans...and whatever else T shows up with from the greenhouse up the road.

Whatever. I finished moving 9 tons of dirt.

Total hours over a few days is about 6. That includes leveling it...

Tell me about it.
On Friday we ( I was offshore halfway thru my weeklong hitch ) found out that Ron M. a drilling welder was in intensive care on life support with Legionella!?! And the Steelhead platform was the prime suspect! Rumors ran ramant. The thought of a 14 day quarantine is kind of spooky. On top of that some how the electricians hooking up the new compressors modules managed to short out a power supply in a fire panel, the main panel took this to mean that all hell was break loose and tripped an ESD ( emergency shut down ) Four hours later we had the main generators back on line, ten hours later most of the platform was up and running.
Friday night The Chevron VP of Alaska flew out with another VP and a HES guy. ( makes you feel a lot better when the VP is going to spend a night on " ground zero " )
The day had already been long enough ( no lunch, no 3pm break ) but we had a 1 1/2 hour meeting starting at 9:30 pm, remember our day starts at 6 am.
Saturday 2 choppers worth of doctors ( CDC, DEC, Alaska Health Dept. et al ) decinded on us. Everyone got checked out, took samples from top to bottom.

Damn it's nice to be at home with a beer in my hand. [drink]

[ sick joke ] On sunday we told the HLO (helicopter landing officer) to greet the next chopper wearing tyveks and a scott airpack [laugh] [laugh] [ / sick joke ]

Front yard was a parking lot before the house was built. The ground was crap. So I got as much of the leftover asphalt and rocks out of the yard as possible before I leveled it. Then I got the 9 tons of 1/4" screened fill dirt. That went over 1000 sqft... Grass or sod will go in tomorrow depending how cheap I can get the sod...
