Thanks DD. Smiley

That sucks.  On a downhill?  That's surprising.  It's more likely on an uphill.

Were you shifting up to the big ring at the time?  I forget if you have a triple, standard double, or compact double?

I have a triple and yes, I was shifting up to the big ring both times.

B is going to adjust the front derailer for me, and it should be better.

Hi all.

Good to hear you made it back to the hotel, P.   waytogo

I had my chain jump off the front yesterday twice on our ride.  Both times on nice fast downhills.   bang head

*edit

I should finish my  coffee before i start trying to type.

that sucks. at least you can freewheel to the bottom and reset it.
btw, which way did it come off? (inside the ring or outside)

the only time i had one go outside it's because my front derailer got smacked and when i went to upshift it pushed the chain too far out and it jumped.

Chain dropping is more likely on a triple, it also is more likely to happen when the chain is under a lot of tension (like on an uphill) and you try to shift the front.  Besides the derailleur adjustment, see if you can slightly back off on the pressure on it when try shifting the front.   But it also could just be a matter of adjusting the limits on the derailleur.

Will do. Smiley

He only had about 3 total days worth of actual work, the rest is babysitting (in case something goes wrong).
...and I don't think there's enough scotch there to keep him occupied. Wink

I don't get websites and their pricing for trips.

we were on applevacation.com trying to book a trip for thanksgiving. We aren't picky where we go, an all inclusive resort and a beach. Only place I won't go is Jamaica.

So we found this deal last night and then went back into it 10 minutes later and the price jumped 75$ a person; this was at 1030p last night

WTF?
