What line of work are you in?

You seem to live in hotels

If you don't want to post public, you could PM me, but again, if you don't want to reveal your profession, I understand that as well.

Sadly it's true, I think I spend about 50% of my time in hotels. [roll]

My company sells scientific equipment, I'm one of the scientists that goes out and trains customers in how to use it to run their experiments.  I also demonstrate the equipment to labs that are thinking of purchasing it, usually they want to see how their experiments will perform using our equipment.  The particular instruments that I support are basically very high-end automated microscopes and come with software for automated analysis of the images that we generate.

I occasionally travel for work and it gets old very quickly; especially eating out.

Ah, ok. Got it. I work for a medical device manufacturing company. You are the equivalent of our clinical nurses, who go to the hospitals that convert to one of our products and train them on the proper use.

well.......sort of the same thing.

sounds like a very cool job. Better than sitting at a desk all day.

The job itself is definitely good, I get to work with different people all the time, I get to see lots of different science going on and it's nice to help people get their experiments working.

However, the travel itself is definitely tiring.  It's much nicer when I'm visiting local customers (luckily there are a fair number in the bay area).

I used to work in Marketing as a Product Manager (same product line, same company), that involved a similar amount of travel but also was a full time job at a desk.  I got burned out on that, this job is much simpler. [thumbsup]

James was a hit with the ladies, but there was no concealing the fact that he was forever horny. It made people uncomfortable.

Being sponsered by Big Tonys House of Mutton had it's downside. Big Tony had Dainese design custom gear for the Brands Hatch event.

I've got one from a 2007 S2R1000 you can have if that'll help...  It ain't broken either.  PM me.  I'll even buy the freight.

(oh, and BTW...River and I are fine after a LONG night of packing and waiting.  The fire crews worked through the night and now the fire's retreated away from the house and there are 7 air tankers working the blazes.)   [thumbsup]
