I used to have to work 24 hour shifts in the ambulance.  Sucked if you ran calls all day and all night.  Once I was driving from the Medford hills down to Rouge Valley Hospital at about 0300 and I drove right past the ER entrance.  I think I fell asleep.  Made a U turn at the next  intersection and got us there without mishap.  I got on 12's ASAP.

I had to obliserve anyway. I am currently in until 2010, but they made me obliserve for 3 years after the school is over, so 2012...

I'm heavily leaning towards walking out at the enlistment (2010). But, I've been told they usually make people obliserv for 3 years if they make Chief, SC, MC. Question arises come August, if I make Chief, will they tell me I have to obliserv to put it on... Hmm.... Cause, at that point, I'll have to tell them where they can put that anchor...

I don't think they make you obliserve at your point in your career. I think that is for members who are close to 20 if they want to receive retirement pay for E-7...
