Got to do some work today.  Total bummer...

Thanks Guys!! It's nice to be back. I really missed this place! Good people abound here.

Did I miss anything in the past year?  [popcorn]

Made it back.  Next time I think it is a good idea to ride 1266 miles round trip for a weekend, some one needs to beat my ass with a canoe paddle and tell me to buy a plane ticket.   [laugh]

Now I will start to write up my addition to the Tutorial Board - "How to flatten a new rear tire in 4 days or less"

I was having a great day off and then it all went to hell.  My department said it was OK to raise funds and have friends and family donate to the red cross and specify for my ER class equipment fund.  I posted a note of facebook and people called to give.  No luck.  HQ changed the rules.

My department does not get $$ from chapter wide donations.  All donated $$ to our chapter goes to disaster.  We turned away over $600 today.  I am pissed.  I need 4 new 02 regulators and my dept. has no $, my friends and family offered to help, and were turned away.  I was chastised by the higher ups and given platitudes by my boss.

[drink] time for me.

Bick

Sorry to hear that, M.

Is there any other way for your chapter to "raise money" to obtain its own needed supplies?

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
