us aficionados need to stick together.

Evening all.  Any one used a heated vest?  I am thinking of getting one.  Any recommendations?  (I would post this in "Gear", but DP usually just answers all of my questions any way.  Maybe I should just PM him directly with all of my questions  ;D)

I don't own any heated clothing.

I hear Gerbings is good.

Also anything that's BMW branded has to at least work reasonably well.

Those guys are nuts. ;D

I've got a set of Gerbings heated glove liners. They are great, but GET THE TEMP CONTROLLER!! I cannot emphasize that enough! If they are simply "ON" (full heat) all the time, you will cook yourself. No my friend, that smell isn't [bacon]... it's YOU.

Wouldn't fat air be easier to disappear into?

It's not like I am going to buy studded Pilot Powers or anything.  Back in VA I used to ride at 35+, but that was for 40 miles or less.  That is not going to work for these multi hour trips.

Pip, good advice.  I want to stay warm, not cooked.

Gerbings has been good to me. Get the coat, not the vest.

Like pip said, get the temp controller. Added to that, get the temp controller holder, so you can hang it from your coat. It's no good to have a temp controller you can't reach  :P
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I only see jesus having a sauna with a teletubbie.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

going out to eat seemed like a good idea until now.   Sitting here by myself reading DMF and waiting on food.
