So, the bmw brakes are worn out in the rear, not the front.

Never seen a set of rears wear out first.

Needless to say, I have the wrong parts.

Is that the parking brake your looking at or the regular brake pads?

It does a good job of beeping at me when I leave it on. Maybe the traction control, which applies the brakes?

Either that or Jamie has been flogging it hard when I haven't been paying attention.
The switch for the beeping thing is probably at the lever...

I'm thinking cables...maybe.

I bring that up because on some of the older 3 series there are a separate set of brake shoes for the Parking brake.

Why has nobody mentioned stuck, or sticking slider pins/bolts or whatever voodoo bmw uses to let the caliper float?

Regular pads.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

All gone!  It was good too  [bow_down] [bacon]  [bacon]  [bacon]

It came from a 4 H pig.  We are having one, a pig, raised for us this year!  I may go down to Medford and hand feed my piggy acorns.  It will make yummy  [bacon].

that's so wrong, but oh so right at the same time.

On a side, but not totally unrelated note, is it wrong to feed a pig bacon?

Points for #1

you in deep doo on the second count. :-X

Nah, it's the pedals that aren't working, looks like we can probably replace the board or whatever it was got fried.

My first electric piano, it's very weird to me to have all the pedals stop working, wouldn't happen on an old-fashioned piano (can't wait till I get my baby grand moved out here from Chicago).
