Wait, wait, wait....

Bacon-Junkie was talking about if he ever broke down.

Hi DD!
I have broken down in the past and Stew rescued me with a can of brake cleaner sprayed into the carbs.  ;)   Recurring lack of fuel due to a shot fuel pump.  :p

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

Bus gets about 12-13mpg on the freeway, but doesn't go over 55!   :P

Van got 14.1mpg before I made a few adjustments.  I'll be filling it up either tomorrow or Monday morning and we'll see how those adjustments helped.  One more ace-up-my-sleeve for add'l mileage but that'll have to wait a few months.

No gas on the islands??

mostly none... residential, anyway

some of the fancier setups will do like stand-alone with remote tanks, but nothing is plumbed for gas AFAIK

DesmoDiva

Bummer.  :'(

It's the only proper cooking fuel (other than wood).

I agree, but I've been working my way through on electric my whole life, so I can live with it.

the few times I  got to cook with gas was like christmas  :)

I grew up with electric in our house.  We have gas (propane) at our camp and the food always tastes better there.

Here we have gas,  it would be very hard to go back to electric.

Off again....

Have to go bring dinner to the hubby working away at school.

Good EverNing all!!   [beer]
