The guys around here that plow snow for a living are hurting.

That makes for some   mental imagery.  ML sitting in those wee little chairs, his knees almost at his ears.

The guys around here that plow snow for a living are hurting.

It's the opposite here.

The guys that plow snow (landscapers/mowers/etc in the summer) are living high on the hog.

We pay around $4,000 each time it snows for my condo complex to be cleaned out.


Bobcat's have become the choice snow removal tool around here.

Hard to tell how they're doing around here, most of the winter was pretty much a bust except for the last week.

Fun to see what they had to do in some of the typical drift spots, used the big bucket loaders and made 20 ft walls on the sides of the roads from all the drifting snow.

Hard to tell how they're doing around here, most of the winter was pretty much a bust except for the last week.

This is the most snow over a period of time I have seen in Columbus since I moved here in 2004. Of course that freak 2ft blizzard we got in late march a few years ago, we have received steady snow at times which has really helped out the plow industry, which in the past blew.

I just hope this is the last hurrah, staying home puts me behind workwise but going in during any significant snow makes for an absurdly long commute. If everyone would just stay home and leave the roads clear for just me I'd actually enjoy it.

I grew up in the snow, so after the first snowfall, you wouldn't see spring grass until, well, the spring time.

I hate the weather here when it is minus 5, then 55, then 15 and snowing, then 50 degrees all in a week.
