Errands then headed off to a wedding in Estes Park.  A wedding I am not supportive of. 

Two adults.  Second marriages for both. 

The husband-to-be has been pushing my friend to get married but one of the underlying reasons is for his political career and she's tired of putting it off ("it can be undone later if it needs to be" â€" she's an attorney).        

I did tell her a few weeks ago that today, when I see her, I will ask her (again) if she wants to go through with it and if not, I will have the car ready for the great escape â€" because that's what friends are for.  I learned to ask this after another friend told me that had I asked her on her wedding day to leave, she would have.   Again:      

If they do go through with it, I will be supportive and (somewhat) happy for them.

I will not be asking the future Mrs. Fresh Pants this question on their wedding day because they are the real deal.

Life has funny twists sometimes but if you disconnect a bit from what you *think* should be happening, life will spin you right and point you towards what's the best.

2010 is Stu's year of ....well.... change is the one word to describe it but that's fails to encompass the whole mess really.

I've decided that I'm moving out of SoCal, just a matter of where to now.

Hopefully not somewhere with snow.

Damn Stu, that is pretty big news.  I am used to having to pack up and go every so often, but that comes with the territory in my line of work.

My suggestion?  Come to the DC area so you can start working on that SSS conversion for my Sport1000. 

Oddly, I currently have possession of an MH swingarm that has been modded to work on a '91-'98 SS.  Hehehe...    It's not mine though...

Hahaha...  No.  Not quite.  BTW, did you know that arm is steel?  Heavy as F*CK too!  Ugh...  And, that's w/o the hub, brake, caliper, sprocket carrier, and wheel on it.

Yea, I had seen that it was steel.  While not really the best for performance, I think the welds look more appropriate for the sort of bike that it is.  Well, compared to the larger welds that are the aluminum swingers that is.  Now having an alloy swingarm done up that is overwelded, and then having the weld's extra beeding sanded down (like a Cannondale frame)...  That would be sweet!

wine tasting, them some fin du monde, then vodka because it was more efficient. and we were playing left 4 dead 2, so the mindless violence was nice.

plan a never got back to me, plan b wanted to see it yesterday am but I had to work, so I'm waitin' on him to get back to me about this weekend
