Yes but this is the "right" hemisphere none the less. We have normal animals here, you have weird and mostly deadly ones there.  
You didn't know the Earth revolves around the United States with the actual centerpoint being the East Coast?  

You're right. We do have more than our fair share of weird and deadly animals, although our humans are mostly normal.  From my experience* its the opposite way around Up There @ the centre of the Universe

I have a weird thing where I drop out from any needles too, be it bloodwork or tattoos.
I think it's psychological because listening to music seems to help.

Worked for the last tattoo, otherwise I was only able to last a half hour before I had to be helped outside for fresh air and to sit a bit. That time I went a full hour and was not too bad at the end of it.

This seems to have started with me since the first time I ever passed out. I cut myself deeply at work, closed it up with wet paper towel and electrical tape. When I got home I pulled that all off and was playing with the cut. It was down to the bone on my finger and I was messing around with it. Next thing I knew I was dreaming and my wife heard a crash and found me laying in the bathroom closet where I had fallen into.  
Ever since then the needle thing, so part physical/ part psychological?

sometimes i can fight it, but mostly i warn the poor girl who is taking my blood or gving me a shot and lay down.

they always look at me funny when i tell them there's a good chance i'll pass out after they do their thing.  

it's even funnier when i say "i'll be back in a minute" and then pass out.

I agree, blood doesn't bother me, pain is no big deal, if anything it annoys the hell out of me that my body betrays me like that with something that otherwise I think I'd have no trouble with.

IV's dont bother me and niether does subcutaneous injections

but intramuscular does

it's the idea of sticking something in so deeply you could skip off the bone
