There is potential hanging and it's a good one.  Really good one and yes, tonight is a good night.  Catching up some more on the 'net (almost done BTW) and doing a little free surfing as well (hence...me being here).

Hey Kevin!   [waves from NM]

Um, well...  Being that I was destined to remove LOTS of those cam-pulley nuts.  I ponied up and bought the factory tool.

Heat will help to break down the Loc-Tite that's on there from the factory but after that...I'm out of ideas that don't involve the OEM tool.   ???

While on the subject of stuck fasteners.......whats the secret to removing a pos, soft metal screw thats holding the throttle housing on my Kawasaki Brute Force 750?

Phillps head is hogged out, I dremeled a slot for a regular screwdriver, still no dice.  That shit is STUCK!  And its upside down so no liquid wrench seepage.........  Of course, the other three came out like butter.

Heat?

Heat is your friend for sure...

Is the hole a 'blind' hole (no access into the threads from the top)?  If not, some penetrating oil from above could work.

If you can, dremel the entire head of the bolt off which will release the threads holding the part.  Remove the part and then the remaining threads will be removable (usually) by your fingers or pliers.  That trick won't work if the fastener has ever been in the 'rust-belt' and is permanently stuck in there...

Awww...SacDuc.  I didn't know you cared!   [cheeky]

Maybe, but at 1300 miles away...well, my arms are only so long.  He'll have to come here for that kind of attention.  [laugh]
