Does the link bind?

I think I'd leave it alone if it doesn't and watch it to see if it spits the o-ring out.
Not sleeping sucks.
No the whole chain rolls nice. You're not helping in my internal debate as the whether I should just leave well enough alone or use up one of my two spare links.

So what would you be fixing if you mess with it? [I don't think it's broke]

Ok, but if it fails catastrophically, pitches me off the road and into oncoming traffic, the scrape I get on my elbow is on your head.

Redo it.  The doubt will eat you from within.  I'd go do it right away.  Urgently.  Just in case.   :-\ ;)

Don't go all engineer on me Mikey.... ;D

If nothing on your bike has failed catastrophically yet it isn't gonna happen. [proves that tolerances are just guidelines  :P]

So where the internal debate?  Leave it catastrophically broken and live the danger  8).

Morning.. Been awake since about 4:00 a.m. with vehicles on the brain -- both bikes could use new batteries, it looks like the clutch slave on the ST2 may have just started leaking, and we're coming up on a whole lot of seasonal maintenance stuff on them. Need to order a rebuild kit for the rear shock on my mountain bike and build a rear wheel for the cyclocross bike. Trying to plan through the restoration of an early '60s Vespa. The big one though is the car... Sold our only car yesterday and don't have a replacement lined up, only possibilities.

There are worse worries to wake you up, but i still would have rather slept in...

Travis's Duc is proof positive that these things can wait, he didn't have problems until he tried fixing things. It was something like 30k+ before that bike ever saw a valve adjustment.

Because I think I might be nuts, thereby making any argument nonsensical even the internal ones.

I went to bed early because I did not feel well.  I got up at midnight with a splitting headache.  The IB kicked it away.  Now I am up and have a sore throat, a 99.5 temp, and feel like shit.

Sucks for my students!  I should stay home, but no work, no pay.  I will take some meds and bring my A game to class.

Any chance of just going in for a half day and then coming home and straight to bed?

No sickness benefits??

We get vacation, and if sick use that.  I was in class M - Th and worked 4.5 hours yesterday and 9 for today.  I took 20 hours of vacation to make up for not working 4 days.

I have to save some vacation time for class in June, Dimby in July, and then class again in Sept.
