Google " GABF "
If you decide to go, plan on being there the Monday prior to the GABF.
Go to the FallingRock Taphouse (1920 Blake) on Monday about 4:00 ( the tapping party starts at 5:00 ), stake out a good seat at the bar, nurse what every microbrew they happen to have on tap till 5:00, and then ENJOY. At the tapping party brewers from all over the country bring 1 keg of one off special beer, at 5:00 the chalkboard gets turned over, once a keg is gone it get erased from chalkboard never to be had again. We've had some great beers at the tapping party. [beer] [thumbsup]

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

An avid home brewer myself. Even took a job for 4 months during my last sabbatical working for a micobrew brewery. Gained 10 bls and girlfriend had to keep coming to pick me up from work. The only place i could drink on the job.

I will be at the GABF this year. Already booked my hotel. 3rd time around.  [drink]    [drink]   [drink]
One of the few things every man on Earth should do at lease once in his life. Kind of like the macca for beer.

It's always fun [evil] to take a newbie to the GABF. Just to watch the look  :o on their face when they see the hall for the first time.

1100 kegs?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!

The real fun is Saturday between the afternoon session and the evening session. You've got about 400- 500 trash cans that need to be pumped out and re-iced.
Plus re-stocking.
One year Sharon and I were assigned the task of keeping a running inventory of "microstar kegs ", IIRC 2500 5 gallon , 300 15 gallon.
