He's angry and in his frustration overreacting.
I didn't see anything wrong with the latest thread in question as well, in fact had a bit of interest in it being I just bought a similar car.
That said if Statler made a decision to lock it, it was probably based on other behind the scenes conversation with Jud that we're not privy to and/or overreaction on his part as well.
Having the pleasure to meet so many from here, I can really say that none yet have been a bad person. Not even Jud believe it or not.
It certainly is a curiosity as to why certain personality aspects end up coming across so strongly, intentional or not, which cause such friction.
Oh well, I'm just glad it's not my duty to figure it out. Peoples is confusing creatures.
