I must be too old to have that one. ;)

Not much happening here.  Kind of bored actually.

I should be working on my lectures for wednesday, but procrastinating.   :-\

Don't worry dp, I don't have that gene either.

I can hardly make calls from B's techophone without wanting to through it across the room.

Send Kathy's mom a card and a pound bacon and all will be right.
I kinda did the same thing once with L's folks.  They pretend it never happened.

I hate cards. they are so impersonal. I did my apology in person. face to face.

the problem is her mom won't respond directly to me. she will hold onto it and hold it against me for the rest of time. I already heard her coaching kath on how she saw this coming.

if you and kath have been together for six years
if kath has put up with you for six years
i doubt this will hang with you long

if you feel an apology is in order... then you know what to do  ;)

it might stop at 6 yrs 2 months. she's never been this pissed at me. then again, i have never lost my shit like that.
it's time to become a hermit for a while and do some introspection. we'll see what emerges.

It could be worse.

I could've already rented my spare apartment.

Randimus Maximus

been working in the yard most of the day.

removing an old fence (most had been removed 'cept the wood posts) and brush/stumps along that fence line.  What a PITA.

lowering the sewer cleanout pipes so I don't whack my shins on them any more.

all the while, a HUGE wildfire is raging up in a canyon n/w of Boulder.  Near an area I was just mountain biking in last weekend.  many homes lost already.  high winds, steep hills, rocky terrain = no containment yet.  air tankers were just given the okay to take off (were grounded due to 45mph winds).  one fire truck has been lost to the fire.

not good.

Knight:  Super sorry to hear about yesterday's "event".   Unfortunately, the one
thing that I found in life that "helps" in situations like this is time and I haven't
figured out how to bottle that.  Yet.

Maybe Mr. Pants, LMT and I will work on that while we're not working.   ;)

In other news, listening to a live feed of Boulder county sheriffs and firefighters...
so amazing and so incredibly sad to hear about the big wildfire they're dealing with
in Boulder county where I have several friends. Among other issues, they just
discussed some horses in a pasture that they found but the pasture is locked and
no one is home. Rescuers were told to move on.... now they have a 12 y/o's dad
asking to get to a home to rescue his daughter.   Reverse 911 not working in
all areas...UHHHHH!!!

oh so sad......  I hope they all make it!!

HUGE kudos to all rescuers and fighters!

Here's the link to the feed if anyone is interested in listening (virtual rubber necking):

Sorry about the Colorado fire.

Anyone else notice a growing trend of people who seem to feel the world should be fair?

Yes and also I've noticed an increasing amount of disappointed fools. Think there is a connection?

The woman who owns the agency I recently left, laments enough for about a hundred
people about how the world is not fair to her.

Other than her, I haven't come across too many others, fortunately.

Yes.

I know the world isn't fair.

But I think I'm less grumpy about it these days.

Knight... I hope everything works out okay. Sounds like something I went through a long time ago.  I told off my gf's (at the time) Mom.  She'd been riding me from the get-go and finally I got fed up and let her have it with both barrels.  Strangely enough, she seemed relieved that I stood up for myself and we got along much better after that...  YMMV.  Good Luck.

I'm exhausted!

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it
