We only needed two stops...older large tank bikes.

The SD has a pretty big tank (a hair under five gallons), but DAMN that bike gets thirsty when ridden aggressively.  I've seen it get down into the high 20s a couple of times as far as "efficiency" is concerned.   [laugh]

After I've learned the roads better I will.  I've only been here for two and a half months, cut a brother some slack would ya?   ;D

The only time any of my Ducs gets into the 20s is on the track.

I guess it depends on your riding style.

Yesterdays ride was fast paced, but it wasn't a lot of full throttle...just high speed.

Track riding usually means lots of throttle and both my Monster and the 996 use plenty of fuel with lots of throttle.

The people I know that have owned them reported high 50s with most riding, so I guess you're right.

On another note, I didn't realize a track real close to me allowed trackdays.
I thought it was private.
Thoughts for the spring now.

Mornig guys/gals,

my 620 gets about 80kms/gl ~ 50mpg ... if not used in city and lots of 'toll road' is used ... otherwise, about 70kms/gl ~ 43mpg ... or less ... on the highway avg is on full tank 190kms ~ 118mls, so that translates to 190kms/2.5gl = 76km/gl or 46mpg ... wierd uh?

Dog's still fighting, meds seem to be working, doc said give it 12hrs more for meds to fully have effect if not then ...

Already had a nice, strong cup of [coffee] and some eggs and [bacon] with toast ... No  [moto] today ...

Haven't been there yet.

ECS hosts a day in October, but the people I know that have done it were a bit concerned about track temps in the morning.

BTW I hear it's a great place.

the videos look good, plus I see even fast cars having to scrub off lots of speed for a lot of corners meaning a "slow" bike would do well there.

It's worth the trip.
