Both my mom and grandmother cooked that way.

They weren't Italian.

Even when they tried to tell someone how to do it the 'specialties' never came out close to the same. ;)

I've tried to make chicken soup a dozen time like my grandmother did and it's never even close. :P

Now I gave up eating chicken. [laugh]


No progress on the DMF projects yesterday.

I had that wall rebuilt about ten years ago because I didn't have time to do it myself. They apparently did a shit job as it started coming apart. I noticed it last year and threw pallets and wood along the side of that Wagoneer to keep it from collapsing inward and then attached that wood inside to try to keep it together somewhat. I thought I could salvage what was there but it had gone too far by the time I could've done something with it. So I dug up all alongside and down it is coming to be rebuilt once more, this time by me so therefore overbuilt. Going to finally redo that part of the roof too. Probably will just have the block removed and what remains of that roof properly braced up before the winter and do all the replacement in the spring.
