I think it was a smokescreen, the cat drew you in and gained your trust and friendship. It then faked it's own demise. Now the master plan unfolds.

Oh poor kitteh.  Sorry to hear.  I would like a second one but the timing isn't right. 

And yes, white stuff falls in Denver today.  I'm ok with it.  I don't have to drive 30+ miles one way in it any longer like I did a year ago.  But then I was getting paid too.  And I hated it.

20 minute speed interview went ok.  Didn't leave with feeling one way or the other.  100 people applied in the last few days so we'll see.  Would be a bit of  [thumbsup]  and  [bang] which is not a bad thing.

And I must mention that Randimus is whipping it up in the kitchen and dinner is looking and smelling great!  (Knowing how and enjoying cooking is a dating requirement of mine.)   [thumbsup]
