ning [coffee]

Bit of an exciting morning.

Was woken up with the question, "Do you own jumper cables?" (the answer was yes).

Then, on this morning's walk, Grover was up for a decent amount of jogging :), we saw (up close) a cat nabbing a rabbit, and Watson found crackers on the trail. :D

Did Grover nab the cat that nabbed the rabbit?  Gotta love food chains!
If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.

[laugh] He would have, if I didn't have him on leash.

Probably for the best, the last cat he caught cost me quite a bit.

Years ago, the dogs were staying with a friend, and her neighbor's cat wandered into her yard.  Grover chased and caught it, gave it a few shakes, and let it go (I actually was just leaving so I saw it all).

The first vet the neighbor took it to didn't do a good job (just slapped on a bandage and sent it home).  I then ended up paying for a week's worth of 24-hour intensive care (including IV and oxygen), until they decided to have it put down. [bang]  They then decided to take me to animal court (to have Grover declared a "dangerous dog"), but I won.  Legally I wouldn't have been obliged to pay for the vet care, I just chose to as I felt bad about it, until they really started to abuse my goodwill.  Very expensive too (1 cat = 1/2 Ducati :o).

Everytime I see my dogs chase animals, I'm torn between, "Wow, look at him go, he looks great doing what he was meant to do," and "Oh...crap...."

Did Nate's electric wheelchair run out of juice before he made it to the keyboard?
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
