i can't blame him at all... i wouldn't go up there in the summer
we tried roof raking.... we can't get over the ice dams
and the roof rake won't reach the 2nd or third roofs
this house is tall

It's only 6 more weeks till spring.

I'd also suggest looking at the roof insulation/venting while Mike's up there.  ;)
