Just spoke to a guy at a job I'm involved with in the Bronx. He said everyone is walking in the street because they immediately fall on their ass if they go on the sidewalks. Sooo, I definitely made a good call not trying to get in if it is that bad there as well.
My wife just let the cat out here and in ninja like fashion he left behind no prints as he walked on top of whatever this couple inches of white stuff is here.

Sounds like everyone is no worse for wear as far as weather and commuting go.

  over here then taking the pooches to play inside at a day care for a few hours to help reduce indoor demolition doggy derby since it hurts their piggies to be outside for any length of time.

It snowed all day. We got about 9", all granular snow, between yesterday and today. Looks like we'll get another blast before this round is over.

there is a new coating of 4 inches of really hard white snow ice stuff on the driveway... it's kinda the consistency of almost dry cement

We got maybe 8" of dry, really fine granular snow.  Tini, that doesn't sound very good

They, King County Metro, had an osha inspection and got dinged on chemical safety in 4 different areas of code.  Hence the position.  Federal, state and county inspections are not fined. They do however have to fix the issues.  Bad for them, and good for me!

i had to drive on the straight part back and forth to pack a runway
once i could get up enough speed i made it up no problem
