That's what snowmobiles are for.
Except I vowed...the very first year Yamaha had snow machines in this country...

that I would never...ever own one.

how did you like what you had?

Had OEM ... 15/48, not bad but in city riding had to use lots of 2nd/3rd gear and heat would build up quickly in our heat ... would get oil temps of around 130°C many many times ... that's why i want to install an oil cooler ...already have the lines ...

-1/+2

Or +3

[evil]

Was thinnking of 14/48 ...

Sprockets    JT/Supersprox/Driven/Renthal/AFAM/

but too many chain choices ... DID/RK/EK/Regina/Renthal/

See where I'm confused ...

I don't think the gearing is going to change your running temps much.

If you want more oomph go to 14/48 or 15/51

Get any quality chain that fits the budget. All the ones you mentioned will be fine.

I've found it easier to go 14/48 than 15/51 ... now you've given me a weird idea ..14/51?

well ya...you need two sprockets for 15/51

14/51 will kill your top end if you ever use it.

Now you're getting it :)

i was weary of going -1/+3 but, i don't need top end[133mhp] speed, i like just to shoot out of corners and use as little gear changes as possible when on the twisties ...

in my peugeot 405 Mi16 i had 4.40 dif ... top speed, 133mph ... on my wife's Suzuki Swift, automatic, 4.144, but top speed 133mph or 215kph on all 3 vehicles ... what a coincidence !!!
