my company offered voluntary exit packages to managers earlier this year.

I was not eligible for one.

It's been published that IF I were looking to leave I could negotiate for one.

was your company doing layoffs?
when we were going through all that they offered it to certain groups. i didn't qualify for it then either.

and yes,i'm fairly certain I can't get a package. I'm talking to HR next week. We'll see what happens.

No layoffs.

Packages were offered to 629 managers.  About 10% took the offer.

Package was: 2 weeks pay for each year worked + 10 weeks pay + $20,000.  Pension remains if employee was vested in program (10 years).

It never hurts to ask.

wow, that's pretty cool. but once again. i'm not a manager. I'll see what happens, but i highly doubt there is any recourse for this. esp since i'm on disciplinary action.
