somegirl will be happy about that
but the rest of us see you more when you're away  ;D

Sounds like everyone will be happy then  :P
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Evening.  How's progress?
Moving forward.

I've been clearing out junk I've been saving for years...went to the dump with a load of it today.

We have 2 walls backfilled outside. Today I set sono tubes close to the wall in prep for the finishing of the backfilling. The plan is to have it ready for the plumber for next week.

The driveway is all dug...I have to push off the rest of the loam tomorrow, and I'll probably start smoothing up before George shows.

The loam varies in depth from 6" to 2 feet. We'll use that nice bony bank run to do a base grade and then add some ledge pack (1"-) as a topper down the road. All we're trying to accomplish is easy access for trucks. Truck drivers are a strange breed...they have to follow the tracks rather than keeping on fresh ground. They'd never be able to mow a wet field with a 2wd tractor. [roll]

It looks really different out there...very cool.

The same machine we've used all along.

A John Deere farm tractor w/ a backhoe attachment.

It's amazing what he can do with that thing.

It's amazing what he can do with that thing.

I used one of these from the local rental but without the back hoe. It just barley did the job with the bucket alone.
Next time I'm going to get it with the back hoe.

The backhoe makes all the difference.

You scratch things up and then scrape.

That rock he dug out is roughly half the size of the machine. He's very good at it though. I couldn't have gotten that out.
