Well that's another working Monday dealt with  ;D.

Did I mention how much I love horse racing?  

Some places have holidays in the name of religion.

Some to celebrate momentous political events.

Some to honour those who fell fighting for a cause.

But in the State of Victoria, tomorrow we're endowed with a public holiday.... because of a horse race... [wine].

I have to admit that I'm as enthusiastic about the gee-gees as I am about Her Majesty's birthday.  But I'll take the day off anyway.  I'm respectful like that  :D.

In my naive youth I once asked an older, seasoned and much wiser co-worker why he "wasted" his money gambling on horses.

He put down his newspaper and replied by asking: "Do you have a hobby?"

"Yup. Motor bikes".

"And this motor bike hobby of yours, does it ever make you any money??" .

It's amazing how much smarter the old guys seem as we mature. ;D

BTW there are 4 busy bees outside installing reinforcing wire as we speak.

There will be a slab today, and he's using a calcium substitute to kick it because of the low temps.
