... a customer made me order a part, gave me a partial deposit, part is ordered and now he says he don't want part ... told him, he'll have to wait to see if I can sell and then he'll get 50% of deposit !

Damm people that don't know where front from rear is ...
Gotta cover your arse Carlos and get the punters to stump up a $$ amount that covers you for these events and let them know up front that when its a special order:

They spent the money. Full stop.

Off to play with my toys in the sun now  Cool.

Cop you blokes and blokesses later waytogo.

Part quoted, inclding shipping to Panama was 100, guy gave me $60.00[cost of part and shipping to Miami] ... He said front fender ... I order front fender ... he needs rear fender ! ! ! !

so I got his $60.00 but, I need to get the cost of s&h to Panama $40.00 ... once I sell part, I give him $30.00

Evening, it's dark ... I'm full and pissed off ... a customer made me order a part, gave me a partial deposit, part is ordered and now he says he don't want part ... told him, he'll have to wait to see if I can sell and then he'll get 50% of deposit !

Been through that when I worked as a parts guy. Nothing more frustrating than being stuck with a part you don't need.

I was a parts guy...

I went through 5 keyboards and 3 telephones in a few years.

The place I worked sold 5 mill in parts a year.

It was considered collateral damage. Wink

My brother used to have the same sort of "malfunctions" when playing Madden on the PC.

I once watched him yell at the computer for cheating and then smash a keyboard over the monitor.

He then got up, walked across the room to a pile of keyboards he'd bought at a thrift store, grab one off the top, walk back across the room and proceed to smash THAT keyboard on the monitor.

There were keys EVERYWHERE.

The worst part: I knew for a fact that if I were to laugh out loud, he'd come after me next.  Lips Sealed laughingdp laughingdp laughingdp

It was a common experience to handle 100+ calls a day...average/employee

We also picked all our own orders.

The money was pretty good for here...then.

I wouldn't do it now on a bet. laughingdp
