well, i think his storyline was pretty much resolved in the movie.  ;D

if you want to know more about him (and his backstory), pick up the book.

Wow, I'm surprised at all the negative reviews. I thought the movie was awesome and enjoyed it so much I was shocked when we walked out and realized it was 3 hrs long!

Don't really think you need to have read the comic to understand the comedian and appreciate the character but I guess it's nice to know that some people's lives have actually been so pleasantly black and white that they can't get a character like that.

El Matador

KnightofNi

just saw the movie last night.

it was pretty good. i wanted to read the books first, but never got impatient so i watched it anyways.
there were even some decent dramatic parts.

and to quote my g/f while discussing dr manhattan
"if his power came from his glowing blue wang then that's fine, but i don't need to see that. Dude was hung though..."

Seriously, when i am 800years old i want to rock like Lemmy! it is a religion that requires lots of determination, drugs, and Marshall stacks.

Wow, KnightofNi, serious props on blowing right over that explicit thread jack and Derby, don't worry - Yes, I am a girl and a hot too boot so El Matador is alright.

and speaking of threadjacks and peni,

Why is there such an under-appreciation for the male body? Personally, I found the glowing blue package inherent to the story line and overall quite ... inspiring.

in all honesty, it is somewhat inherent to the story. it symbolizes manhattan's disconnection from humanity.

i believe the speedo was only on in the early years. after that he just didn't wear it.
althought the arguement wiht that is that he still puts on a suit for some things.
