I learned right from the begining the question of "What is that" .  The first time was less then an hour after I had bought my 07 S2R800.  The question happened in the parking lot that connected to the Ducati dealership.

One guy came up to me at a Waffle House while I was waiting for a friend. He comes up and says how hes going to get one of those he has been reading up on them and thinks they are great bikes. What year is that SV 650 anyways he don't recognize that body style. DOH  [bang]

I like to let people think they can't afford them and I have a lot of money. Makes my military pay seam that much more  [thumbsup]
I'm in the Army, I ride bikes.

Always fun to hear them tell you somethings wrong with your engine.. ;D

This is what I have noticed thus far

I was at an automotive store a few weeks ago getting a bulb for my truck.  I walk outside and some guy and his girlfriend, both early 20's are almost drooling right on the bike.  I think I would have caught the guy dry-humping the bike if his girlfriend wasn't there.  The guy then said I know what that name means, as he points to the Ducati Monster logo.  He tells me that Ducati means very fast and expensive. I kinda chuckled since it is only a 696.  He then tells me that Ducati's are very rare and that he has only seen them in movies.  He drove off and I started laughing as I remembered this post going around.

I had a similar experience with a fellow probably in his 70's on a CB900.  He looked at my M750 and said "Wow, that thing looks F-A-S-T fast, it'd eat this 'ol CB up."  He rode on and while I was happy for the compliment, I'm pretty sure the CB900 would eat my lunch on any straight stretch of road  ~

dumbest question - that would have to be my wife constantly asking  "hey when are you going to sell that bike?"

Or my girlfriend asking why I need another one.

Or my GF nagging me because i spent my paycheck on more gear......and then telling me im the irresponsible one because now i can only afford to eat pasta for dinner instead of 30$ on going out.  I would trade going out to dinner for a new piece of gear every week any time! GFs just don't see it that way  [cheeky]

Do you shop and cook/  If not, doing so may change things.  My wife has bought some of my gear because she wants me home safe and sound to cook dinner ;D

Hmmm good idea howie looks like i have something to work on.  I'm a decent cook just my GF wants to go out most of the time where i would rather save the money and put it towards other things.  I'll give it a shot if i start getting good she will be begging me to make dinner!  [thumbsup]

Silliness. I'm a terrific cook. If I make da woman fat, I'd have to get a Harley, thus negating all savings from eating at home.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

first, you would have to get her to eat  [bacon] to become fat.

I doubt no matter how much MsIncr ate, she would not get fat with all the physical activity she does.   ;)
