I have emailed, I will not be able to attend the hearing but I wanted to send my support.

I hope this bill passes, I come from England and grew up with filtering, there are many positives that can come from this.  If it is passed we become more visible to drivers which will eventually make us safer.  Yes it will take time and there will be some drivers that do not like us passing and will try to block us but at these speeds that should not be a problem, even in Europe some drivers do not want you to pass you just wait for a safe gap to appear then carry on your way.

Mike,

Here's what the DFWM club is reporting:

"Good news out of the Transportation and Homeland Security committee:

I just contacted my Senator, Kirk Watson, and found out that he voted in favor of the bill and that the bill has been reported favourably by the Transportation committee. SB 506 is now available for placement on the Senate calendar. A calendar is a list of bills and resolutions that are scheduled to be considered by the full house or senate."

I think the bill is on life-support, if it's not already dead.

A House sponsor for the Senate bill was never listed and the bill has now been removed from the schedule of the House committee on public safety.

So I see the status of the bill was changed to "left pending in committee".  Does this mean it will probably die in the committee?

Did anyone from here go the the hearing?

I do not understand the US political system but it does not sound good.
