is the construction done on ortega yet? I stopped going up there about a year ago after having to wait half an hour while they made it a one way road for the work being done..

Yes, thank goodness, construction has been done now for about 3 months.  Pavement is

very nice.  Only Problem so far is what lurks hiden in said canyon.

Hey much in line with the idea behind this thread, I saw this on Ducati's web site. Seems they're working  with Davis Bull publishing on a book about the Monster.

Does your customized Monster leave fellow Monsteristi gasping in admiration?

Have you taken your Monster to an exotic place, a famous landmark in your city, or a cool, unexpected spot that would astonish and impress your fellow Ducatisti?

We are looking for you!

David Bull Publishing, in collaboration with Ducati, is looking for photos of coolest Monster in coolest places to be featured in a forthcoming book about the Monster's history and the unique lifestyle of Monster owners.

If you're interested in participating, jfind us on Facebook at this page and upload your photos of customized Monsters, Monsters in interesting locations, and Monster owners and clubs enjoying their bikes, with a brief description. If your photograph is chosen you will receive credit in the book and a free copy.

What are you waiting for?

Make yours go down in Monster history!

Looking at some of the pics here, and knowing some of the great ride stories I've seen on the forum over the years, we shold be able to give them some great contributions.

Here's the link if anyone is interested.

I think this should be it's own topic to draw attention to it. I'm sure a lot of folks here would like to participate.

This thread is awesome. Really makes me want to move west. Enough of the damn swamps; I need some mountains!

[thumbsup] Thanks! I'm glad that you like it! I thought that the adjustment would add to the primary/intended focus of the image.  Great shot!
