I broke down and got the Alpina's.  Black hubs, spokes, and rims.

I remember growing up and all the bikes had spoke wheels. the cool guys had upgraded to the new plastic magstyle wheels. now 30 yrs later... spokes are sooo cool aren't they ;)

Could you get the Alpina's in a 4.5 or did you have to go to a 5.5?

They're available in both sizes.  I went 4.5.  Didn't want to deal with the tighter fit of the 5.5, or any extra weight.  Plenty of grip for the way I ride on the 620, and should turn-in better as well.
