Rode the 105-mile Skyline Drive yesterday North to South.  A little cool but the traffic was light and the road was perfect.  This is a must for anyone who hasn't experienced its awesomeness.

I rode it the other day.  It is different than a motorcycle.  Turns more like a ATV, obviously...But I had a BLAST riding it.  Very Quick and stable.  The front end is a trunk for all the stuff you wish you could carry on your bike.  I would consider a used one for two up riding.  And the have a new RT (touring) version that looks like the love child of a Jap liter bike and an Electra-Geezer Glide.

so it doesnt have any trouble keeping up with the bikes?

I would say more like a snowmobile...

Artful

Came up on three of them tooling around Frederick last weekend, riding with a guy on an 848. We rode behind them for a few miles then got entirely bored and blew by. Can't judge a bike by its rider, but I can't say I was overly impressed.

Artful, sounds more like the rider than the machine...I have seen em be rather quick in the past with the right person at the controls....

I agree completely, I've known plenty of folks with extremely fast bikes that thought I was a golden god on a friggin 695 when a capable rider would blow my doors off... They just looked boring though is more my point. It looked like they were riding a snowmobile without the fun of jumps and hanging the tail out. Very static riding position. I'm sure they're fun to ride, but I'll take two wheels any day just for the full body immersion.

But we're getting off topic! Look! Ducs in the wild!

Far less cool than most of these... but oh well.

I thought the sunwash in this was kind of neat.
