My beater S2R1k and my buddy's AWESOME Sport1000:

Fixed it for you.  SC (Sport Classic) was a model line, not a model.

Nice rides though.   [thumbsup]
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Yeah, thanks.

Riding both bikes back to back feels insane. Same engine, totally different feel. Even down to the shifter linkage. The Monster feels a lot 'tighter' on everything.

Really?  My Sport tracks like you wouldn't believe, and I think it handles MUCH better than a monster.  What forks did your friend put on that one?

848 front end, 749 wheels F/R.

Stuff like the shifter being a longer throw (easy to swap to a Monster linkage) and my buddy's throttle needs to be tightened as right now it's a little sloppy/loose.

I liked the feel of the Sport1000 a lot... it was a ton of fun. Just... different from a Monster, that's all.

And I like my S4Rs a lot more than my S2R1k, btw. The S2R is lighter and feels great in the city, but for hustling around, can't beat the power and the Ohlins.

I had to make a quick run to the local Food Lion to pick up a bottle of wine and saw a guy on a 2000'ish 748. What got my attention was his Leo Vince exhaust... It was odd, because there are so few Ducs around this area. So I stopped to chat, and snapped a pic of the bike before he left.

My S2R1k... The Fox! This bike is a ton of fun. It's a good 30 lbs lighter than my S4Rs. I have it out here in Brooklyn for when I come visit my friends. I mean... I need something to ride, right?

I think what's MORE odd is his freaking riding 'shoes'

Yes. Those appear to be some sort of stretchy slipper.

And I'm pretty sure he's not wearing socks, either.

Those shoes are called Tom's. Its a great cause, for every pair of Tom's shoes purchased the company will give a pair to a child in need.

Probably not the best choice for riding though.

The children in need won't get any more Tom's slippers on his account when he grinds his toes off in a crash and doesn't need to buy another pair ever again.

His socks match his riding jacket and gloves...   [cheeky]

And just to clarify that I am not a hypocrit... if you look at the reflection in my mirror, you see that I have a mesh riding jacket, even though it was mid 90's and high humidity.
