Do they gum up the tank?
Also, why are Keith and DDGM's knees hitting the fairings?
(And what am I doing wrong?)
No, they peel right off.
As far as knees rubbing, your 996 side fairings are different than ours. Leathers like to gnaw on that spot pretty bad on the 1098

No, you're mistaken. It's not WERE it's from. It's from ducmouse (Duc rider).

The reason I said that was because when I used to ride H-Ds we put the Anti Road Gremlin bells on the bottom of the bikes.

This looks like a normal sized Ducati 1098 " R ."
Now with Dolph on it it doesn't look so " normal sized " anymore.

I know, someone let me in on your dirty past
I started to make the point, and guess I am now, that based on the horror stories I am hearing on this side of the moto world, I recommend the group buy a case of those little buggers.
I hear they sell them in bulk on ebay.
Remember guys, you can't buy them for yourselves. They have to be a gift.

Is that your hair hangin' out the back of your helmet, Dolf?

As some of you may know, I just bought Tom's (Monstermash's) bike. El Matador and Desmolu graciously volunteered to ride her down from MA for me
. As usual, Matador's presence summoned the wrath of the rain gods for the entire trip
, so the bike is not entirely detailed in these pics. I bamboozled Matador into chopping the tail for me, and he also made a bracket for the tail light and turn signals (signals not mounted yet in these pics). Soon to come: pods, custom cf velocity stacks by Matador, billet frame plugs and sprocket cover, and debating whether to change to Boomtubes, given that the custom exhaust Tom made sounds sick (thanks man
)
The bike is welcomed home by her new siblings (and Matador):
I'll post more as the mods happen, and once she's detailed (and there's better light)
