Sounds like fun. Will have to see if I can squeak it into my schedule.  waytogo

Chuck / Ryan -

You two are tempting me to extend my 800 mile weekend up and over 1000  [moto].  I would need to spend another night out on the road, but I am up for it.  I need to see Marvel and rub his shiny head for good luck.

Maybe I'll stay in Sisters - always liked that little rinky-dink town.  I have to get home on Sunday at some point and fetch my pooches from the kennel.  I'll have to check to see how late they are open.

I propose we discuss this over beers soon.  Name the time and sleazy bar and I will buy the first round.

They have horses on the roads and they say that "back in the day" the motorcycles would spook the horses and ruin their peaceful serene resort community.

To which I would reply "Then quit trying to trail ride with a thoroughbred. Sell it to Purina and get a horse with half a brain." What a disgusting rule. My pickup is louder than my bike, would it be banned, too?

See you hooligans on the road today.  [moto]

So where'd you go?  I didn't see you.   cheeky

I went down to Oregon City, out Redland Rd to Estacada, west on Hwy 224 to Hwy 211, north to Sandy, down Ten Eyck Rd to Marmot Rd, all the way east on Marmot and Barlow Trail to E Lolo Pass Rd.  Turned around and came back to Sandy, stopped at a friend's house to stretch my legs for a bit, then back in 26-212-Sunnyside to Clackamas.  101 miles total, according to the bike's odometer.  Left at 12607, came back at 12708.  And what a perfect day for a ride!  The weather could not have been better.  Smiley

A couple pics from along Marmot Rd... this stretch of road had a stunning view of the valley ahead (click for full size):

I rode Marmot and Ten Eyck as well today, along with some other roads northeast of PDX.

Our group passed a large group of porsches, maybe twenty.

The roads were pretty clean though there were a couple of areas with gravel and road debris.
