A second pair of eyes will do you wonders...

Try that bundle of money you get when you save by switching to Geico ;D It's got big eyes.......

But seriously, if it's not wedged into a moving part (a condition that you've checked carefully for) ride it
Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

I've ridden many with a rogue screw somewhere on it.  Never had a problem.  Do check very carefully around things that move.  It'll bounce or vibrate out somewhere down the road.

if its not in the chain, or in the front sprocket somewhere......and you didnt have the airbox open.....then ride it.

BTW, i always find my missing screws on the little lip on the lower triple. doesnt matter if i was working on the taillight.
thats where they end up.

on the other hand, the 10mm wrench that i left back there one time ended up stuck between the ex box and the case...proving that i have better luck than IZ

Eh,

I'm pretty sure I got some lost screws in there.

And some washers.

Probably at least one socket.

It just adds to the dry clutch rattle.

Is there a back story here worth telling?

Leave the screw where it is and forget about it.  You'll find it sometime, and an unexpected screw is always good.     ;D
