The full Termi kit adds at least 12hp to the S4Rs at the rear wheel, and more like 16rwhp in the upper mid-range. Those numbers would be bigger again measured at the crank on Ducati's dyno. I seem to remember Ducati claiming somewhere that a kitted S4Rs produced about 150hp at the crank.

Those numbers might be a tad optimistic.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

I have seen an S4RS with racing kit dyno at 147.. Ducati claims the kit gives you +13% hp so that is dead on for Ducati's numbers.

It would need more than the Termi kit for that.  The numbers are closer to 127 at the wheel.  Of course you can make the dyno say anything you like.

+1 on 127 at the rear wheel, that's what I got. I'll be interested to see what the Street Fighter dynos at the rear wheel

Well Ducati says 130 stock.. I know, I know, it's their numbers, but 130 + 13% = 146.9.. So I use that number when bragging..  ;D

That's just going off Brad Black's dyno chart - from memory 116hp at rear wheel for the stocker and 128 with the kit, but a bigger gain in the upper mid-range.

But that's measured at the rear wheel. Ducati's charted comparison with the Streetfighter, shown on this thread, is all done at the crank, where the chart shows the S4Rs making 130hp stock - the figure Ducati has always claimed for that bike. The question then is what would a kitted S4Rs produce at the crank on Ducati's dyno. sally101's suggestion is 147hp, and given Black's measured rear-wheel gain was more than 10 per cent, we can predict we'd see at least 143 at the crank from the same kitted bike - and again, with a steeper curve in the upper mid-range.

Plug that in to Ducati's comparison chart and the Streetfighter won't look quite so impressive. Show the whole rev-range and it will look even less impressive - it would have a 7 per cent power advantage across the board, which is nice but far from shattering.  ;)
