Well, it's racing of a different kind, but Discovery HD theater has decided to air 9 different 1 hour segments this summer relating to events at this year's Isle of Mann TT.  These began Monday the 6th (I know, I'm two days late.... Cry) and the schedule is as follows:

7/06

TT Preview

7/13

Superbike

7/20

Sidecar 1

7/27

Superstock

8/03

600 1

8/10

600 2

8/17

Sidecar 2

8/24

Senior TT

8/31

2009 Highlights

These should be repeated several times throughout the week they are aired, so if you missed Monday's "Preview" you should still be able to catch it!  You'll only get this channel, though, if you've subscribed to Comcast's HD channels, or Direct TV or another satellite provider's HD service.

Further, Discovery HD Theater will be relaunched next year as a motor-themed channel called Velocity. No better excuse to buy that big-screen, is there?!?!

I'd love to see those races, the Isle of Mann is really intriguing to me.  Back in the day, when Dusty and I were first buddies (and prosperously employed at Intel), we discussed adding a trip to IOM to the list of routes we'd like to ride.  I may have to add that channel to my line-up in lieu of a trip for now.

sorry 'bout that... got a little carried away.... Embarrassed
